Executive Compensation Review

The Watson Company begins by analyzing your bank's current compensation program as it compares to similar banks in your region and on a national basis. This review focuses on all aspects of your compensation: base salary, annual incentives (or cash bonuses), long-term incentives (typically in equity), benefits (both qualified and nonqualified), and any agreements that are in place. We evaluate your programs to determine how they compare to peers as well as how they are linked to improved bank performance. This results in strategic compensation objectives that identify your bank's compensation issues and how they should be addressed, both now and in the future. We will conduct interviews with management to determine what is and isn't working - then make recommendations to improve performance through strategic compensation incentives that include both short-term and longer-term recommendations. Unlike many consultants, we can also work with you to implement those recommendations if you wish.

Cash Compensation Analysis

Conducted as part of the Overall Compensation Review, or for banks that simply want to know how their cash compensation stacks up against peers, our Cash Compensation Analysis will pinpoint where your bank stands in relation to those with whom you are competing for talent.
